Foundation Literacy and Numeracy
We ensure that all children in conflict and disadvantaged areas learn to read, write and carry out numeracy operations.
Who we are.
KING ED is a nonprofit dedicated to advance innovative education solutions and economic empowerment to conflict and disadvantaged communities in Africa. At the moment we are operating in three different locations in Cameroon. We are operating at Yaounde, Bamenda and Kumbo.
In collaboration with partners like the North West Regional delegation of basic education and TaRL Africa, we are currently implementing the teaching at the Right level methodology in seven schools in the conflict zone, precisely at Bamenda, reaching out to 1359 children. We are working with 19 teachers, seven head teachers, two officials and seven members of our team to ensure that children in the North west region get a solid foundation in Literacy and Numeracy.
Reaching conflict and disadvantaged communities through innovative education and resource provision.
End Poverty in Africa through Education and Economic Empowerment.
We ensure that all children in conflict and disadvantaged areas learn to read, write and carry out numeracy operations.
Our TaRL Program is currently being implemented in seven schools and two learning spaces created because of the conflict in the North West Region of Cameroon. The results on the ground show great success. We desire to take the methodology to the entire North and South west and then expand to the other eight regions of Cameroon.
We provide tuition, scholarships and reward hardworking students with prices in conflict and disadvantaged communities. \our collaboration with schools and learning spaces allow us to directly provide support to these children who badly need them.
We provide educational material, books, computers, solar panels and other resources needed by students in rural communities where these resources are not available. Because of the conflict in the region, several communities lack electricity causing resources like libraries and computer literacy centers that used to operate there to shut down.
